We Need Your Support

Memories of field trips, the excitement on Field Day, the boost of self-confidence from a dance residency performance, the invaluable life lessons learned from assemblies…

…These are just some of the ways the Parent Association of PS 174 support and enrich the children at PS 174, but our efforts are not realized on their own.

The Annual Membership Drive is our way to kick off the year. With only minimal funds in place from the previous year, we must raise funds at the beginning of the current school year in order to secure and continue the wonderful enrichment programs and activities for the remainder of the year. All parents and legal guardians of children enrolled at PS 174 are automatically members of the PA of PS 174, so as a stakeholder in your child’s education, we are asking you to lend your financial support by participating in our Annual Membership Drive. The Parent Association of PS 174 is a 501(3)(c) not-for-profit, so your donations are tax-deductible.
Other ways we strive to improve and enhance our programs beyond the basic curriculum is to provide our children with the tools they need to reach their highest potential. Proceeds from our Annual Membership Drive directly contribute towards:

• Classroom materials & gym equipment (1st Grade will receive new seat sacks)
• Fund Art Residencies (4th Grade Ballroom Dancing, Circle of Dance Residency for all grades)
• Class Field Trips
• Teacher & Faculty Appreciation Luncheon – a happy teacher makes for happy students
